Hi,

I would appreciate if someone can provide me with the meaning of "skilled work experience"

My employment needs to be in the selected 24 occupations eligible for FSW or in any of the occupation in NOC O A B list?

Requirement for CEC:
- plan to live outside the province of Quebec
- have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
- have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization
- meet the required language levels needed for your job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).

Thanks for your help,

Appreciate your help,

Thanks,

Check here if your job falls under a 'skilled' position:

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=*

Search for your NOC code.
The second digit of the noc defines whether it's:
A = 0 and 1,
B = 2 and 3,
or C = 4 and 5, and D = 6 and 7.

From 'Determine your eligibility-Canadian Experience Class':

Skilled work experience

According to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), skilled work experience means:

Managerial jobs (NOC skill type 0)
Professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
Technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)

Hi,

I actually fall under 1112 as well as 1122.

Next year, if 1112 is not in the 24 list, still I would be able to apply for the CEC while I am in Canada.

thanks,

The list of 24 eligible occupations pertains only to one of three to the Federal Skilled Workers program. CEC program is a different program, the "list" has no relevance to CEC.

Hello , please I need help. About filling my express entry profile and a little bit confused about " skilled work experience in canada". I'm not in Canada thus I want to apply for PR through Express entry. I have 3yours work experience in my home country. Does it mean I don't have skilled work experience in Canada?

Yes - this means you have no skilled work experience in Canada. This question is asking if you have ever worked in Canada. The answer for you is zero or no.
