MBA's applying for Express Entry

Hey there,

I want to understand what kind of opportunities would be there for someone who has just completed his MBA and applies for an Express Entry.
I have an IT background (3years with Accenture) and i will be completing my MBA in Finance. So what kind of jobs can one expect from prospective employers??
Will there be only IT jobs available for me since I have an IT background and no finance related job. Or will there be a chance to get a Finance related job??

Also I am doing my MBA from one of the top 10 B-schools in India, do prospective employers consider that too??

After completion of your MBA the chances of you PR becomes bright. IF you score CLB9 in IELTS and get your MBA verified with WES you can apply in Express Entry and you have a fair chance to get PR.

About jobs in IT field , I can tell you there are jobs in the field but you have to go to Canada and search. (getting job before hand is to difficult). There are province like New Brunswick who need IT people and consider. Once you go there you have to accept whatever job you get and keep searching job of your interest. This is what we all are going to do. There is a whole lot of IT people who are already in the Express Entry.

I'm an MBA in Finance, working as a college lecturer. Tbh, I'm not thinking much about job prospects for me if I get PR.
My first goal is to reach Canada.
Moreover, Canadian economy isn't doing well enough. So do not have very big dreams.
It's a truth, and I'm not discouraging you.

well with 3 years with Accenture then why not look at Accenture Canada. Probably wont be interested before you have PR but your experience will be on your resume.

You may get job as business analyst in finance companies.

You may get job as business analyst in finance companies.

It is tough to get Finance Jobs in Canada. There are MBA's from top universities of Canada who could not get an Investment Banking or core Finance Jobs. To get a finance job, you need a strong finance background. MBA in finance won't help much. Moreover, there is abandunt local talent.

But there are lot of opportunities in IT.
