I would actually bet that it is a timezone issue... but that's just me.

Personally, the whole eCas thing is a bunch of baloney. The fact that the system doesn't appear to have changed in the last four years (when we were doing the PR app) says a great deal.

some early may applicants might just forget to come back here and give us an updates. on the google doc, some mid may applicant is still leaving their row empty.
but they should be all got their case going by now.

Yup... happened a lot with the PR phase, too. If people bothered to come back to say they got their passport request, they often didn't bother to share their landing experience.

i honestly think the google doc is a very good indicator for a "normal" case so ppl can know how long they might have to wait. 1 year is a very good assumption , and a very acceptable one.

Hey u4g5!!! my first post haha no ecas for me yet, at least as of the last 10 mins, even though my app was recieved on may 29th as per canada post tracking. Hopefully it'll be in the next day or two will keep you guys updated! Good luck everyone!!

Thank you friend It was sorta weird, about a few days ago I checked ecas & it kept giving/showing me my old pr app as complete but then nothing about the citizenship application... that seems to correspond roughly with "none"s "in process" date... ecas is one hell of a weird beast... hahaha

ur case is in the system and it will show citizenship application very soon.

a faster way to find out is to call CIC tmw, which the agent will be able to tell you the date they started processing your case.

Funny how some of the people here are so antsy to find out the case status -- when it was only 2-3 months ago that they submitted and CIC says it's a 24-36 month process ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/cit-processing.asp )...

CIC hasnt updated the citizenship processing time for almost a year now. and they actively release press saying they r admitting record new citizens every month but no longer does that.
but progress does have been made, and thats IMPORTANT

But i can't for now, currently out of Canada & will be back August 15th & from what I know the call centre is for in-Canada queries only, correct me if I'm wrong thanks a bunch again you two!!!
