how could you send it without confirmation service! i wish you all the luck! on the other-hand, i got the canada post priority overnight envelope, it took them 3 days to deliver that!

By the way, I double checked and the delivery standard for the 'Priority Express' Vancouver BC - Sidney NS is actually 3 business days, as opposed to Montreal, where it is just 1 day. Not sure where you were sending your application from, but it seems as though those 3 days you mention could be their delivery standard from where you are sending.
In my opinion, if you want to make sure the application gets there, it make sense to choose regular mail but as for the 'Registered' option. It will take 4 days rather than 3 but you will pay around $10 rather than $18 or $32.

Nothing for me so far. i am guessing, my application was received on May 22 or 23rd, judging by the Canada Post delivery standards. perhaps, i will see an update this coming Tuesday... Hope it goes smoothly for us

I am new in this forum and it is the first time I post something.
So I'd like to share my timeline so far.
I sent my application on june 18th and so far no e-cas update.
I called yesterday CIC and an agent said to me that they are on applications received May 16th.

Nothing for me yet. Called CIC and they told me that they are processing 'the batch received around May 16' and I should see something within a week. This suggests to me that they are not necessarily going in order of applications received but rather take a batch of applications received within, say, a two-week window and then process them but not necessarily in order. Also, my application might have got to them later than everyone else's because I sent it regular mail. I guess, everyone sends documents with Expresspost or one of the commercial couriers these days.
