Looks like mid-April applicants can se their cases in e-cas right now. Early may applicants should see their e-cas updated in two weeks :)

I was cheap and sent it regular post without tracking. Mailed mine on the 16th, so both of us should see updates in early august-late july. Perhaps mine will appear a week early?

how could you send it without confirmation service! i wish you all the luck! on the other-hand, i got the canada post priority overnight envelope, it took them 3 days to deliver that! :o

To each their own but given that you are spending $200 and the importance of the application its best to mail it with a method confirming receipt at Sidney...hopefully your trust in Canada Post comes through. Good Luck

Canada Post Express mail deserves some trust - they did deliver our application package quite safely.

Ask for a refund from Canada post.

Yes, they will refund the money, if it's their fault, but it's so hard to prove it to them.

Well, the reasons I sent it regular were as follows:
- Canada Post has not lost anything yet for me (been living in Canada for 12 years);
- I was not sending them any original documents. Only photocopies;
- The paystub slip for $200 can be easily reprinted. I have saved it on my computer. If they were to lose my application, then there is no way they could cash my pay stab;
- I would get extra days as a PR in Canada. I applied a few days after I became eligible. While, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong, and I believe my case is solid, I also think that extra three months would not hurt;
- The entire application is scanned and can be easily printed and sent again.

Anyhow, let's see what happens. It would suck to be delayed because of the potential Post screw-up, but it would be interesting to see how long regular post would take and how reliable it is. So far, I have no reason not to trust it. But you should definitely ask for a refund. If these guys sell you fast service that cost you ten times as much as I paid, then you really deserve that they provide this service to you.
