You may be at an outside VO. Have you called IRCC to check your VO?
From my above response does it look like VO office is outside Canada? When I called them the response is to wait since it well within the timeline and when I asked about MIL and BIL it’s officers to decide when to send out the MIL and BIL invite

Because outside VO may work on a different timeline than other applicants who applied outland. Many of the applicants who get bil/mil quickly are at Mississauga. Have you received a sponsor letter yet? Usually the application moves to a new VO after that. Almost all applicants will be at Sydney until after then.

@redeye36 the process takes place in two stage.
1- sponsor approval which is assessed here in Canada. Once the sponsor is approved the file is sent to a local visa office where the principal applicant lives after this stage you receive a letter with the IUC of the principal applicant and the local visa office details.
2- at the local office they send you a letter for the Medical examination, your admissibility and background are assessed as well.

My comment: your next step is an approval letter for sponsorship.

I haven’t received any communication after the AOR. I submitted the IMM5476 form with my email ID, but IRCC asked me to resubmit it. When I called, I was told that my email ID was missing, which is why they requested it again. The AOR was sent by mail since email id was missing and it was from the Sydney office. Since then, I have not received anything further.

Does it mean is it still with the Sydney office or if it has been moved to another office at this stage?

Thanks for clarifying! What does “IUC” mean? Sorry if it’s so basic.

My tracker shows biometrics and background in progress, while medical and eligibility haven’t started.

So the next step should be the sponsor approval letter, will I receive it by email? Also, by local office, do you mean in India since my PA lives there?

Thank you for replying

Hi guys

I have a question about the VFS consent form. Where should I put the name of the person I am authorizing to submit and collect my passport: on the line in yellow, or on the line in orange?

Hi guys

I am just asking for the last time before I make my own decision. Should I put the name of the person I am authorizing to submit and collect my passport on the line in yellow, or on the line in orange?

Thank you

Sponsor elig will go to the sponsor's email. But, it may be sent via snail mail if your email was not on file in time. You can also check for updates by making an ircc tracker using the sponsor's uci number (from aor),

@redeye36

I meant UCI for *Unique Client Identifier aslo known as *client ID.

It depends, in my case I received a letter in the mail. But if you have already created a Gckey account you will receive it there and an email notification.
The sponsor approval is done here in Canada not where the sponsored person lives. Once you get approval, you receive a letter with the UCI's number and the details of the local visa office where they will assess the Medical, Biometrics, Eligibility and background of the person you are sponsoring. That will be India since your spouse lives in India.

Hope that is clear for you. Don't hesitate if you ha a question.

Regards

Thanks much for your detailed response. Also wondering, does the background verification gets started before everything? The reason I’m wondering is Biometrics and Background verification is in progress but eligibility and medical says not started.
