how is US travels related to the quick processing of the application? i see you asking this question to everyone
one of my fried had his interview with officer. He asked him why he is having interview whereas his friends did not have any interview and directly went for oath. The officer said : "We sometimes cannot verify US visits and that is why we have interview to verify the visits and check the passport stampings."

That does seem to be the case, as there are few who said they were interviewed who had US visits.. But again CIC works in wierd ways so I am also not 100% sure which officer works in what way. However, asking this question does help to understand the trend.

Montreal Central...
I had few US travels, but all short durations for a week or less.
Great.. Thanks for clarifying.. not sure then why few ppl who had US visits were asked for interview. My friend had his case processed by Mississauga office. But good news for him, he had his oath done within 1.5 months after the interview which was quite fast.

Hey, guys so I just completed my test and scored 19 / 20, however, there was a problem my laptop has a dual camera, and no matter what I tried the system only displayed the rear camera and not the front. i have emailed them about the issue can you guys please recommend what will be the possibility. They will most likely ask me to write the test again

if your face was not visible during the test, your test will most likely be invalid. should have used some other laptop or ipad.

unfortunately you need to wait for a response from CIC, sometimes the test gets marked Completed even if someone had failed and then later they receive an email to appear for the test. It might be few days to few weeks before you hear back from CIC. Last i had seen a candidate got a rescheduled test after 1.5 months. All the best

Has Toronto's (Scarborough) office been historically slower than the rest in processing family applications? I've looked through the sheet and I've seen that single applications are processed faster from Test to DM. Any thoughts on this?

@FutureImmi Got a response from RCMP that they've mailed my fingerprints to IRCC on 04 Jan. No update yet on the status page. Seems like Montreal office is slow.
