There's nothing confusing here, you already got your AOR, but for whatever reason, you didn't provide an email address. That's a very ???? decision. The AOR probably got lost somewhere in the mail
hahaha (stupid decision) I know, But If I got AOR shouldn't ECAS mention that ( AOR sent on *** date) ?

Yeah then that's Client ID or UCI and not PR number (which is on the back of the card). Online applicants cannot check using ecas unless they contact IRCC technical support
oh good to know, The PR number is working as well. I am paper applicant btw

P.S I did not provide them my email address, I wanted to get the AOR by regular mail.. may be that is the problem?
What's the difference? You can get your AOR by email, then print it out. In this kind of process we don't have to take any risk with the information provided. Even better if we give them more information.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how long we can keep travelling using our old passports while the citizenship process is on? Do we have to ensure we are back in Canada before test or oath or can we keep using the old passport till we surrender it?
Anyone?

If you do travel, just make sure that you will be in Canada for the test & Oath. You don't need to surrender your old passport (only PR card). If your home country doesn't allow dual citizenship then my guess is that you can keep traveling with your old passport till you're Canadian (after Oath). If your country allows dual citizenship, you will still be able to use your old passport even after becoming Canadian.

- Your passport from your current country of citizenship (let's call it HOME country) has nothing to do with Canadian Citizenship application. You are not a Canadian Citizen until you do your oath. So you can keep using your old passport until your oath date as long it is still valid and not expired.
- Canada allows dual citizenship so you can actually possess a Canadian passport and passport from HOME country as long as your HOME country allows for dual citizenship.

For example -
1. A US Citizen who applies to become a Canadian Citizen can continue using both US and Canadian Passports. As both US and Canada allows dual Citizenship.
2. An Indian Citizen who applies to become a Canadian Citizen cannot continue using their Indian passport when they take an oath to become Canadian Citizen. They will be required by Indian law to renounce their Indian Citizenship and surrender their Indian passport.
3. A Pakistani Citizen can possess both passports and can continue using them as both countries allow dual citizenship.

And the list goes on...

Waiting for my AOR. Application submitted may 18.
is there anything I can do to get status of my application?
I see so many June people already have their AOR’s.

Also, my application has 7 months of daily travel to US (returned back same day - work). these days are being counted as presence . Can this be a reason for delay?
