I read this carefully, but still could not determine whether they are doing eligibility or security. On one hand I have submitted a WES evaluation for both my bachelor and masters degree, that should be good enough to support my eligibility. On the other hand, they asked for my field of study for my masters which makes me wonder if they are trying to determine if I had some 'sensitive' research background... which I do not have... my masters is by coursework not by research. But in your post security was done by other agencies other than CIC so I guess the request should not come from them.
Anyway, I got another update today, saying that the addtional material I submitted was under review now. Let's see how it goes.

What I dont understand is how is criminality taking more than 3 months.
I have heard applications delayed beacuse of Security, but never have i heard of applications delayed due to criminality.
Its like they lost the file or something.
They havent asked for any additional docs either.
My AOR was 2nd May so believe me when I say I know the feeling, until 18th Sept I thought they lost my file cos nothing was moving at all. Then within 2 days I moved toIP2, and then the next day ADR, and when I submitted on the file requested on the same day, they updated it again today, saying that they are reviewing the file I submitted. So I guess all that time our files spent were sitting in the queue doing nothing at all.

To me the Notes are good, not sure why they quote review required...
PreVU refers to the criminal and linguistic database against which your application is verified.

These notes are from 2018-07-04, nothing changed after that, should i order new gcms notes.

Lets first understand what is the reason review is required... can you check the notes to figure out ?
I guess the review is required because your CRS is 465, cut of during the ITA was 456(i guess it was 14 March one)... as per the agent he is only able to verify 450 points... I dont know why he/she is not able to verify 15 points...
