Gosh, I really hope so! That would be awesome! It doesn't make sense that they would update your file, but then not actually start processing it. Unfortunately though, based on my notes, it looks like that was exactly what happened to my file. I went IP on August 6, even though they started processing mine on July 14. My notes were ordered after IP, and nothing was done on my file. I'm really hoping that it's not the case for you!

Only one way to find out! I ordered a new set of notes yesterday, ironically, to wake up to IP this morning. So, hopefully by the time they pull them and send them, I'll have a clear answer of it they're being a tease.

How soon after seeing IP did you receive your notes? Have you ordered notes since then to see where they are with your application?

Checking in late here - I haven't checked my eCAS in probably three weeks now as I was getting depressed seeing that stupid "Application Received" every time I logged in! Today, I logged in to find that my application is In Process! Hooray! I'm guessing I was updated along with everyone else on the 9th.

My timeline so far:

We received your application for permanent residence on May 20, 2015.
We started processing your application on July 27, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

The second line is new. I believe it is the same date that our file transfer was done - or at least very close to it.

Hopefully this is good news for everyone!

FINALLY an update in ecas for us !!

We now have "in Process" and when you click it it reads:

received may 5
started processing july 6
medical results received

Received the COPR today!

Decision made today! Never heard anything from the VO (the only email we ever got was for AOR and then SA).

Received: May 28
SA: July 27
IP: August 06
DM: October 03

VO is Paris.

I am visa-exempt so they just mailed me the COPR.

Got the COPR Today!!!!!!

Mail from Ottawa.... the DM was published on October 6th. I got the Letter today...

it took about 5 months.... hopefully most of you will received soon!!!!

Question: I am US Citizen, still have business to close in USA, Can I do the landing, like monday, and then come back to US a week later ? or I need to stay in Canada until the PR card arrive....

They attach the signed copy of the COPR to your passport so you can travel while waiting for the PR card after landing. I actually have to travel next week so I'm glad the border agent stapled the COPR to my passport last night!

My status changed to "In Process" on or around Oct 9. I was on vacation so I'm not the exact date it changed. Ottawa office.

Here's hoping that actually means it is "in process" and not that fake "in process" people over the last 2 months have been getting!
