Could anyone tell me how at what point will my wife be able to work? Is it right after she lands? Or does she need to wait longer? Thanks!

as soon as she lands for sure! she is a PR, a legal resident and does not require approval for work. i plan to start working ASAP!

Awesome. I kind of figured she's going to have to wait until she receives her new social insurance number though?

well yes, that's true. that can be done as soon as she lands though. that's also my intention. get it all set up so i can land, get my sin, apply for a driver's license (depending on when i import my car) and start pounding the pavement to get some income rolling in!

Same plan here. That second income will sure be welcomed!

@ impresso - my husband did call them but he was put on hold for almost an hour and was not able to speak to anyone. he called the toll free number, is that right? we also checked our email in a regular basis but nothing is there. Hopefully we get a reply from them within this week

Glad to see everyone is making progress. Today is day 55 for me, hope they are working on time in there... :o

Hello llij21 - Yes it is quite the wait time to get a hold of someone over the phone at certain times - Hopefully you will hear from them soon .

Spouse followed up today and was told that a realistic timeframe for us to receive confirmation would be first week of august because we had a form missing. They confirmed they received my missing document start of July.
He had such a hard time calling first coz the call centre agent was a noob and wouldn't give him info when he is the applicant.. He kept saying he is the applicant and she kept saying no I have to call. He was frustrated lol and vented. But yah hope to hear shortly on outcome.

Yes we received sponsorship approval today :P..best of luck for everyone...

i received an email today ALHAMDULILLAH... whats the difference b/w S.A AND AOR .. it states that i am eligible ,gave me my uci number and my file transferred to londonm... please let me know thanks

That is your SA. You probably didn't receive any AOR...many of us don't these days. The difference is your AOR would have been sent awhile ago, stating they have received your application to sponsor...with the line like this: we started processing your application on this day....
