Did you get a chance to check with your Rep when he/she actually sent your passports to CIC ? Maybe that will give you a more accurate timeline.

Sorry I was not able to reply last night, no attachments are required as long as you are requesting information for yourself. I did not provide anything.
Thanks cecstatchk. I applied the electronic one based on your inputs. Hoping to get good info this time atleast. Thanks so much for your response.

Hi May Folks!!!

Just wanna share that we finally got PPR few minutes back!! All Glory to God!

Timeline:
Application Filed: May 21, 2013
AOR: July 9, 2013
Medical Request: Jan. 29, 2014
Request for Police Cert (UAE) : Jan. 29, 2014
RPRF: Feb. 17
Medicals Done: March 1 and 10, 2014
Medicals Uploaded: March 13 and 16, 2014
PCC Explanation Letter (UAE was unable to issue PCC as stay was under visit visa and less than 6 mos.) : Received by CPC-O on Mar. 28, 2014
Medicals Received per ECAS: April 4, 2014
PPR: April 10, 2014

Guys, can I do this:

Send the Passports via Purolator (outside envelope) and put in a Canada Post Xpresspost Envelope (self-addressed)? Reason: Trying to make the PP reach CPC-O the next day, as we hope to receive the PP and COPR prior to the long weekend so we can do our landing..

Thanks for your inputs. :) God bless...

Received Passports back with CoPR in 2 days, planning to land over the long weekend.

Any suggestion on peace bridge or rainbow bridge?

long weekend boarder?!?! It's not a good idea. My recommendation to you is during the week Rainbow Bridge.

Any May applicant still waiting ?I was asked to submit additonal document regarding my marriage which i did a month back but still has not got any updates . As of now I have done medical for myself , paid RPRF and biodata for me and my spouse . Pending is medical for spouse and visa request .
The wait is really difficult. Also , ecas does not reflect medical received though i did it in Feb last week.

Finally, landed in carway. Thanks this forum! :D

Hey jxh89, congrats! Mind sharing your landing experience (and docs you brought with you)? We are yet to decide whether to land in Carway or Coutts. Are they open for landing on the weekends and holidays, too? Thanks!

Your passports workpermit and documents from CIC,they open till 6pm during the weekend I think,u can check carway board's website for detail. U may have to wait couple hours after u submit the documents to cbsa staff. Lots people there for landing. so. good luck!

Thanks for the info. Congrats on becoming PR! :)

Landed at queenston-Lewiston bridge tonight, crossed over to US, did flagpole and came back to CBSA. Nobody was there except us for landing, got over in 15 mins. Officer didn't ask anything, took the WPs and just said I need re-entry visa if I go abroad except US.

Can't believe I'm PR now, took less than 11 months, guess another long wait for PR card now..

Thanks again to the forum members!
