FYI a third of April still waiting for medicals and lesss than a quarter of March. I can't believe there are so few of us May applicants who got MR, a whole lot of March and April applicants already got PPR.
If you get MR please update us.

Can someone on this forum please explain that:

If my spouse apply for trv or open work permit alongwith my application and dont join me till 6 months, does it has some negative impact or it is ok. Or he can apply at some later date when he is willing to come. Please reply.

you can apply for her a few months after you get yours. it is better this way. aim for 3 months before she arrives or right after you get yours approved.

no MR yet.....this waiting business is frustrating javascript:void(0);

Hello gurutajsandhu,

I saw you have undergone an advance medical exam.......I guess it means you sent your medical reports before you were asked for it...could you please explain how it works?

I am glad it worked for you and hope you saved some time too..... does CIC accepts it in every case?

Does anybody else knows anything about it? Please give you view.....

My ECAS status changed around midnight :)

"We received your application for permanent residence on May 9, 2012.

We started processing your application on October 20, 2012.

Medical results have been received."

Good luck everyone! Just keep that positive mindset all the time :)

Hi chamybel,

Congratulations :) I have been keeping a watch on the April to July applications and am happy that you got an update (gave me a ray of hope!).

I'm an August applicant and have been very nervous as my Post Graduate is expiring mid-February.. if my LMO doesn't get approve, I'm going to have to go to the US and come back as a visitor status :(

Thanks Chamybel, I truly hope so too. Did you go back to the same clinic where you did your medical check last time (I did one when I applied for Post-Grad work permit) or a different one? Do you think it matters?

Shells, i applied for my very first work permit in the philippines so thats where i did my medical exam, for renewal no i didnt have to undergo another one. When i got my MR I just called in a few clinics to see who can book me for an appointment right away. Luckily the one by my place was the one :) i also emailed cpp ottawa a couple weeks ago to check if the doctor has forwarded my result to them and they replied 2 days after and said its on file. But i think they didnt get a chance to go over it until recently since they just updated my status today. Some people here found out when the doctor forwarded their med result and when cic received it, im not sure how they did that though.

I was looking at the trends of when people did their medical and got PPR, looks like 2 months should be the longest wait time.
