MAY 2012 Applications

Hello guys,

I have applied in May for the second time. Here is my timeline:
Application filed: May 18 2012
AOR Received: September 7 2012

and thats about it! everytime I log in to my CIC website to check my status, it displays 'Decision Made' which is based on my previous rejection which was in April 18 2012. so it didnt get updated ever since. I have emailed them but I got the defaulted email back saying that my application is still in queue for review. Do you suggest I should call them? Or email them?
I hope I hear from them soon as now it has been 7 months since I last heard from them which was just the AOR?

That does not make sense,I think you are using the old AOR to check on your application or are you using the new one? If so,why did you email them? and you should email them or call them instead of just waiting.

Hi N.Calgary,

Are you able to see both records... with the latest AOR, you should be able to see both records (old one as "Decision Made" and the latest one as "Application Received"). The old one disappears from CAS display as soon as your latest one status changes to "In Process".

For CEC application, there is no phone line support...customer svc do not have any info about CEC apps. You've to contact by email only.

Yes when I log in using my Client ID number, I see both records. First record 'Decision Made' so when I click on it I see my last rejection date on the application. and the other record shows only 'Application Received' and when I click on it i see when my latest application was received to their office. The problem is that about 4 months ago my status changed from 'Decision Made' to 'In Process' for like a month, then now it is back to 'Decision Made' and when I click on it i get back to the old rejection thing!

I have emailed them twice in the past 4 months and I get the same reply back 'your application is in Queue for review and there is no action required from your end'. I agree with some of you, calling the help line does not add any value at this point as they dont have access to my file.

Shall I email them again? It is going to be a year in a month and I have not heard anything from them time is flying!

Hi, I am also still waiting for my MR (application was recieved by CIC on May 28th, 2012), I guess some cases take much longer, there is always a spread. One thing I am doing now is ordering the GCMS notes, it takes a month to get them, but at least you can have some information as to what is going on. It doesn't influence the process but gives you a little piece of mind. Otherwise, I guess we can only wait. Good luck, and hope you'll get some update soon. I had to submit PCCs sometime in November, so I understand that due to this my case could be a bit delayed compared to other May/June Applicants, so I am just patiently waiting.

Hi N.Calgary,

Based on your old posts, I see that you applied in late May 2012. Very soon you should be receiving your MR. I've seen some of May applicants are still waiting for MR. btw..I'm a late June applicant (pls see my timeline in the signature).

I am a June applicant and got my MR two weeks ago. There is no rule to how it works. You just have to wait.

When the medical is received does the online ecas status change from "in process" to "medical received"?

Mine says for Permanent Residence Application Status: in process. When I click the in process link, I find the date the application is received and process started and at the end "Medical results have been received."

I was expecting the "Permanent Residence Application Status: in process" to change into "Permanent Residence Application Status: medical received"

How long is It taking to receive the CoPR after sending copy of passport through email? Does anyone know?
