No, unfortunately not. Only IELTS - General Training will suffice.

We have got the PCC request from CIC... so just wanted to know if any of you have an idea that what is the validity for the Indian Police clearance certificate from the date of issue. My date of issue for the Indian PCC is June 02,2012. So just want to know if its still valid to send it to CIC.

PCCs are valid if they were issued less than 3 months BEFORE your application date (May 7). Since it was issued AFTER, it is still valid. So go ahead and send it across..I have a similar situation and have confirmed this with Jes_ON.

Jean, is your application date is June 2010 and the PCC is dated June 2012, and if you are sending it now, then I think the PCC is not valid as it is more than 3 months since the date of your application. When did you apply and when did you get the PCC request from CIC and what does the letter say?

My application was received by CIC on May 09,2012 and i got the PCC issued on June 02,2012 so according to the document checklist for CEC i was checking it says that we need to start processing after submitting the application to CEC. And all PCC are valid till one year. They have asked me to submit my PCC by Jan 14,2013. So we are going ahead and submitting it to CEC.

FYI....

This is what the CEC document checklist says:
You are strongly encouraged to submit your PCC with your application to the CIO, If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, we are strongly recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates now to avoid future delays, YOu must be ready to submit them when requested by an officer.
Note: Police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue: therefore depending on the processing time of your application, you may be requested to submit new certificates

when cic received medical reports from doctors after how many days they usually does updates ??? any one has idea ....

I agree, I heard some people stop updating when they get the medical, please guys if you do ge tit don't be like that and update us 8)

i had my medical done last oct 31, i check my online status everyday, unfortunately there's no update still i will update you guys for sure, i know how it feels like to be waiting.
