The UCI is also the Client ID and is a xxxx-xxxx number (all numeric). The file number starts with B and/or F and is assigned by the visa office.

In my case, the letter CEM send me stating i have been approved says my CLIENT NO. The letter my husband received from VO Manila stating they have received our papers says his UCI No and APPLICATION No. Any of those numbers you can use to access your ecas but to communicate with the VO i suggest you use your wife/husband's UCI or APPLI. No.

Simply means they have started looking at your application.

Looks very true! Esp if that is from VO Manila. But like what Ddobro2 said, better check your own VO's thread as it might mean different but I doubt.

You can certainly have both the receipt number for your file, the UCI that was found on the sponsorship approval that is your sponsor`s Client Code, as well as your name and date of birth.

Thanks, I filled out the Buffalo Visa office case specific contact form and sent it off. After submitting, it redirected me to a webpage that said might get back to me within 28 days.

I have always just emailed them at buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca from my email account.

*sigh*....is planning for hubby to apply for TRV. Is it a good idea anyone?

1) Manila already has his passport, how do you plan to get it back to apply for the TRV?

2) Manila works very quickly once they finish all their checks, it is doubtful he will be approved for a TRV from that office with a PR in processs for a couple months already.

On my invitation letter I stated that we have an application in process. They will give his passport back if TRV visa is issued. Then we can mail his passport back to Manila if he is approved.

Manila works very quickly? That's what I thought too. Few May applicants had already received visas but my husband. But they were not asked for any additional docs. It is something we had in mind since day 1 but waited until we hear what the first assessment says. I know someone from somewhere in the states and one from Hongkong who did it. But we know that my husband being from the Philippines will have a 50/50% chance. It is still a good shot to take for the price of $75. All we can do is show them that he still have ties to the Philippines and promise to honor whatever decision they will have whether he's approved or not. I know that our spousal application gravely affects his TRV application but I'm hoping the TRV application will not affect our spousal application. I am so confused and saddened :(

just curious if anyone else has had the sponsorship accepted, and then not heard from the outland VISA office in a long time? tomorrow its a month since my gf got accepted as a sponsor, but i haven't heard anything from London. the only update in e-cas is "medical results have been received". should i worry, or should i assume London has received my application?

London is one of the faster offices, but I wouldn't characterize one month since sponsorship approval as "a long time." Email London and say you'd like acknowledgment of receipt of your file, if you haven't gotten one already.

Okay, I just saw CharlieD's response that London doesn't issue AORs. That was news to me. Your PPR should be coming soon. Again, it's been a month since they got the file. Others have waited longer, even with the London VO.

We applied through London VO. London received our file on June 17 and we only got PPR on Aug 22 so it took about 2½ months waiting time.

The only update we had from London on eCAS was "medicals results received" and then "decision made" last week.

There are still 3 London applicants from the May group who are waiting for their PPR at the moment.

There's not much you can do but sit tight and wait. Good luck though! ::)

Make me another one! im new to this forum but been monitoring for a while... Missisauga revcd our application on 30th may.. rcvd sponsorship approval July 5th on our E-cas it says london started processig our application on 27th July.... I(the applicant) has never recvd any kind of communication email or post... Ive heard all i will get is PPR eventually... I hope so! cant wait!

Morning May'bies. Let's hope for a good week :)

(we were on the 2nd page too!)
