@ sthomas

I have e-Cas tracker but the one i posted was from e-cas itself. It is confusing, actually. It looks like this on e-Cas.

Sponsorship Permanent Residence
XXXXXXXXX In Process Application Received
XXXXXXXXX Decision Made Application Received

When I opened *Decision Made under Sponsorship, it says:

We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on May 18, 2011.
We started processing your application on June 22, 2011.
We sent you a letter on June 22, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

- this was the first one from e-Cas when CPC-M received my app .

WHen i opened *In Process* under sponsorship, it says:

We received your application to sponsor XXXXXX on July 11, 2011.
We started processing your application on July 20, 2011.

- This was the latest update i got, just last night.

under the Permanent Residence column, it says:

We received XXXXXX's application for permanent residence on July 11, 2011.

See, it's confusing! haha! I'm pretty sure this is what spicymum has, too!

This is so frustrating! I'm sitting here watching people in the London office getting 'in process' updates for applications received the same day or after mine was received and nothing has changed on my e cas. I'm hoping that I'm just one of the unlucky ones who doesn't get regular updates for some reason!

I'm joining the eCas update club.... I got an update last night too!

PERMANENT RESIDENCE - IN PROCESS
We received XXX's application for permanent residence on June 17, 2011.
We started processing your application on June 20, 2011.
Medical results have been received.

So happy, shouldn't be too long now :D

wow, this is so fast!!! congrats!

hi sthomas! What letter are we supposed to get next? And i can't remember but how long is the medical exam results valid for? i'm afraid my hubby's might expire before they get to see them. I don't even know how it works. Do they have it from when it was sent to them after the medical exam? or do they just start looking for them somewhere in their files once they start the application process?

On a side note, =) where do u plan to stay here in Canada

ok, now it's all been cleared up. My e-Cas is now showing a "more normal" update:

Under permanent residence status application, it says:

We received XXXXXX's application for permanent residence on July 11, 2011.

No mention about the July 20, 2011 in process that was stated there last night.

Did yours change, too, spicymum? :)

Hello ferrer!!

We are supposed to get a letter (passport request) within a month from the time the sponsor has been approved. Oh well, maybe they are slowing it down now.

Medical will expire after a year, so no worries about that. If your case is straightforward and no additional documents asked, it will only take 4 to 6 months processing before you get a visa (processing starts from the day it was received in Missisauga). I am talking about the Manila Timeline.

My soon to be home is in Saskatoon. That is where my husband is :) How about you? Which part of Canada are you now?

My ecas has been modified like 6 times since the first change. Someone is definitely confused and it is not me. ;)

Its still a bit confusing but now there are fewer lines than before. lol. And I can still see:
We received XXX's application for permanent residence on July 11, 2011.

I've gotten three e-cas tracker updates so far, and all of them have simply told me that e-cas says my application was "received June 9." Every couple of weeks or so e-cas tracker sends me this same info and the only thing on e-cas remains the Permanent Residence Application Status and within that, the statement "We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2011." I would really like a bit more info than that!

They're already PPRing people who applied in March? I'd like to know the visa offices of these folks.....

Just looked on the April thread - two separate people applying to the New Delhi office have received their ppr.

Yeah, seems like New Delhi would be among the fast ones. Well good for them!

I guess its back to the waiting game and the unexpected.
Everyone else who is getting good news, hope more good news keeps coming ;D
