In addition to the PA's passport, remember to include the correct number of photos of the PA in the correct specifications as well as the sheet listing eye color and height of the PA, as per the instructions.

Lots of following of directions. I personally can't wait to never follow directions again in my life after this process.

I hate wedding anniversaries too because people are always in anticipation of how many years it is before the marriage breaks up any more... so why count? Just live for the day... another day with your love and your family... thats what I am thankful for.

Hi all. Been away for a while because stress is making me crazy...lol.
Just checked my ecas today and this is what it says:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 27, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 6, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.


So, so happy!!!
BTW, I talked before regarding applying for TRV. Yes we did applied over a week ago. .Not sure if it helped. I also talked about getting CAIPS. I did but have not received it. I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Hope it's a VISA. Thank you Lord!!!

Just wanted to tell everyone that my husband just got his visa. Like 5 minutes ago.
Interview lasted for over 5 hours. I couldnt speak with him for the whole time he has been in Accra (the past 2 days) and it has been soooo nerve-wrecking. We havnt even had the chance to talk.

I am sooo relieved; I can breathe better now.
Thanks to everyone who helped me through this very, veryyyyy difficult time.
Thanks theachrissy for remembering and coming on here to wish us luck. U rock!

Okkk...I better get back to work now.

I finally got my first e-cas tracker update regarding my medicals (I already knew from checking CIC myself!).

I feel more "real" now that some of these things are happening to me too!

Nope - applied for US hubby May 4th...just got notice that they received med records (sent within days of the rest of the application). That's the first word we've heard since July 5th when they said they received our application in Buffalo. Going to be too snowy to move where we're moving....so guess we'll have to wait until til spring.

Someone with Buffalo who filed May 27th has gotten his PPR already, so as someone who filed May 4th, you may be getting good news relatively soon. Every case is different, though. Good luck.

For some reason I can't update my profile on here but our application 'in process' since Aug 1st (Sydney, AU) and Oct 14 med's received. Anyone know what the next step is or the wait time between meds received and the next update? We have just booked tickets for my husband to come visit Canada so he can be here on my 40th bday. We booked because we hadn't heard anything in so long now I'm wondering if they will request his passport. What will happen if they request his passport while he is here?

There's just no way to know how long it takes from an e-CAS update to PPR for any given person. Sydney's processing time is 7 months or less for 80% of applicants, according the latest CIC update. I suggest visiting the Sydney thread to compare your timeline with others there, and hopefully that will give you a better idea of what pace they're working at right now. How long will your husband be staying in Canada?

Seriously it is working great...LOL Having fun unloading the burden of junk in my house. Having a great time with my daughter who cracks me up to no end.... who knew almost 11 yr olds could come up with some of the stuff she comes out with...hahaha

I am only online at work .. and the time I see my husband... other than that... forget this worrying crap... whats the point.. it does not make it happen any sooner than it is supposed to.

So bring on the months... I have a life to live whether he is here or not!!
