I dont think 2172 was there in the list of 38 occupation list. It was removed during 2008 Nov change. Only 0213 for IT Managers was left.

Now there is no IT related occupation.

avnA, NeedAChange is right. The only IT related NOC Code until June 26, 2010, was 0213 = IT Managers.
You definitely looked in the wrong place...

Yes, there is. It will be asked to pay at end of process, before/or at passport request, after medicals.

It's usually 490$ per person for applicant and 490$ for spouse (if applicable).

You can see information for your VO here:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/jamaica-jamaique/visas/fees-frais.aspx

Hi Tegnus,

My Visa Office is Singapore. For the Landing Fee, Should I check the same link you provided, or is there any other for me. Since, it is having 'Jamica' not 'Singapore', I thought it might be different.

Dear Alizia,

I am also worried about your status. I checked the list very closely to analyze the pattern of their working flow.
My wife was telling that they sent AORs for whom they charged DD / CC till 20th August.
But I found otherwise... you are on the top of the list.
Lot of other people are there who did not recieved AORs.
Apart from you, pinuuyako, del123, Can_PT, Brabus_majid89, brandburg, umair81, Houman, sfateh, thejackson, ny2canada, canada_soon, rgirish are the known faces in the forum but did not get their AORs.
Others may miss in updating their status, but not these people, specially you.
I think today is also holyday in Canada. So I am expecting flowing of AORs from day after tomorrow.

All the very best to Alizia, pinuuyako, del123, Can_PT, Brabus_majid89, brandburg, umair81, Houman, sfateh, thejackson, ny2canada, canada_soon, rgirish and others who did not get their AORs yet.

INDIANAJONES.

Monday, October 11 is Thanksgiving holiday in Canada, so it should be business as usual this week. Good luck to all and I hope there will be much "thanksgiving" in the weeks and months to come for all. Cheers!

Due to randomly applications processing it seems that CIO works very carefully. So the applications with every thing solid are getting their AORs on priority basis regardless of their receipt date. For example 25th Jun applicant has received AOR. There may be other factors like busy and free visa offices but chances are slim. So applicants with some ambiguity get their more time for further checking.
Any how success rate is huge in any case roughly around 70%.

i am 3rd may applicant. still no response.
is there anyway i call them and they provide ma update about my case. if possible please tell me their contact number from outside canada....

You should check you corresponding VO office, which is Singapore.

Full list of VO can be found here:

P.S. I think the price is all over the world - 490$

Dear Tegnus,
Can you tell something about yr background check?!!I mean did they check yr POF,your experience?!!
Did they call yr employers?!!
Regards
Nevil
I have no idea if VO checked it or not, I work in a company that has about 5000 employees and I don't know anybody from the Human Resources department so well, and they were primary contacts on reference letter.

For POF I used original certificate issued by bank in English, and I have no idea are they checking it or not.

All documents (which were not in English) like contracts, reference letters, educational documents etc. were translated and notarized.
