I think you can track your application delivery from your courier. You may have a tracking number. Tell the CIC staff, they can also help you to check it.
And for applications received but AOR not issued, the CIC will not provide any recorder in their system. That's why the CIC call centre can not find any recorder for you case at this moment. As soon as you received your AOR, you will be able to track you application status online. At this stage, we can do nothing but waiting.
Hi Brandburg,
Thanks for your response.
Yes-I have a valid receipt from the courier company that my application was received by CIC on 03 May 2010. Its just that I dont know whats happening since then. Moreover I sent a demand draft , so unlike a credit card I wont know even if my DD is cashed.
I think you have answered my question. i.e. my name will not be in the database till such time an AOR is issued.
In that case-mine is 03 May 2010. So when can I expect my AOR?
Thanks anyway

Last week there was "up to 17 May" and in current week someone receive application with deny.
It was sent 13th May and rejected by CIC 29 July.
So, this means 13 may applicant was processed in 29 July week.
So, today 11 august and applications 20-27 May is being processed.

- Most of the times, CC issuing bank calls you to verify whenever there is an international transaction on ur CC.
- Even you can call ur CC agency after every few days to ask if there is any international transaction of the amount u are supposed to pay to CIO
- Or check ur CC online account if ur bank provides this facility.

Guys, I just read a post from another website. The applicant got charged but was l refused since the CIO thought his occupation description was not the correct NOC code. So I guess the correct step is:

1. completeness check
2. money charged
3. eligible evaluation (FSW1/2/3)
4. point calculation
5. AOR

To 100 sure for the success, AOR is the most important.

Good luck for everyone.
Hi guys,

From my understanding - there are several steps to the process :

Step 1 - they open the mails and check for completeness of the application (meaning all the areas in the document filled out and CC validity or cheque validity

Step 2 - they tabulate the number of points you have and if your NOC code is in the current list of 38 or 29( if you fulfil the criteria)

Step 3 - they send your CC or DD for encashment

Step 4 - they decide if they want you in their county (selection committee meeting as per Alizia's post)

Step 5 - they send you INITIAL ASSESSMENT (every body now calls it 1st AOR)

I don't have any concrete evidence on this information but from the Blogs/Forums that I read, I get this idea. That is the reason for some persons receiving their return application or rejection letter earlier than others.

So guys, until you get your 1st AOR, no one is 100% safe.

If someone else has any contradictions feel free to post your views.

Regards
J

Actually, I used 2 cards.....
1. In payment fee form - entered the philippine credit card unfortunately my bank does not not have the online facility to check if i was charged
2. Attached a paper on the payment fee form mentioning that if unsuccesful on the 1st one - above credit card, I gave them another card - a Debit Card

do u think this will work?

Hi guys,

We can definitely confirm that they are processing May 3rd AORs now!

We received our 1st AOR today by e-mail :D. Shouldn't be too much longer for you. Hang in there! It'll all be worth while.

We're almost there with our documents - still waiting for one reference, police check and we need to get our photos done. We rang a couple of 'notary publics' for notarising our documents as true copies. Does any one know whether they stamp the copy itself or issue a certificate? Or both? Surely they have to mark the document in some way to say it's a copy?

Also, for proof of funds are you guys just submitting a notarised copy of your bank statement? Or are you getting a 'bank certificate' whatever that is?
