I have some good news from London Visa office, I sent them an inquiry about my case and they sent me a generic reply but the reply clearly states that "Please note we anticipate completing the review of M1 files submitted between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010 by June 2012" so hopefully all may 2010 applicants to london visa office will get some reply by june 2012.

usmantanvirbutt,

could you please copy and past the reply you received,as I received regular reply from London VO.

thanks

Hello!
I am a new member of this forum.

My details are:
We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 5, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Singapore office. They are pending review.

My questions are as follows:
1. I cannot check my application status with 2nd AOR number. Why?
2. Recently my previous office address changed (All issues of the employment contract documents/employment reference letter were issued from the old office at the previous address). How to notify CIC (I am the primary applicant)?
3. My spouse recently changed his job and post (secondary applicant). Should I notify this change to CIC? If yes, then how?

Regards.

1. dont worry most of the ppl are not getting status with 2nd number however you can try UCL no which will be pasted on the top of your 2nd aor
2. i dont feel that this will effect your application but to be on safe side just write them a letter stating that office address is changed
change in mailing address / email address is more important to be updated.
3. same as above you can update them through letter about change of job of your spouse.
number of years of spouse job does matter not the title of job, so not alarming.
with medical request they will ask you to send updated imm0008 and other forms including updated pics and PCC
at that moment you can update each and every thing.

Dear alizia,

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
Please accept my humble gratitude.

Thanks once again!
Regards.

U know what I feel from the current movement, we will start getting next step in a month or two. However, it seems that after MR even the processing will take time till end of the year. So must need to be ready till end of this year. I mean we just hope that as long as we grab a step by the end of this year can be as great as anything we can get.

This is just what I feel, I may be wrong,

God Bless all for the waiting period.

Hello Friends,

FYI only,

source:nationalpost.com

The reforms reflect a pledge made by Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the World Economic Forum in which he said that economic concerns would be the primary driver of Canada's immigration policy. “We will ensure that, while we respect our humanitarian obligations and family-reunification objectives, we make our economic and labour force needs the central goal of our immigration efforts in the future,” he said.

Among recent immigrants, the unemployment rate stands at 12%. Meanwhile, severe labour shortages persist — particularly in the resource and construction booms of the West. The country's labour situation is becoming “desperate,” the Canadian Chamber of Commerce warned last month, estimating that the country faces labour shortfalls of up to 500,000 workers over the next 10 years.

Three weeks ago, the Alberta Coalition for Action on Labour Shortages, a group of major Alberta employers, met for their first meeting. “If there is going to be any limit to the growth in Alberta, it is the lack of people to fill jobs,” Tim Shipton, president of the Alberta Enter-prise Group, said in an interview at the time.

Hi Kavya,

I think what you are saying is correct. In reply to CSQ made by the applicant, London VO has replied that they expect to "Complete Review of MI-1 files by June-12". This means further steps like MR and Visa Issuance may delay and may not complete till Dec-12. NDVO have also replied saying that "MI-1 files are expected to be In Process in 2012, but may not get decision until 2013".

This means that some of us will have to wait till 1Q of 2013 to get the maple leaf, even if they get real in-process in 2012. This is what I believe.
