Dear Sir:
We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker Class on 13 May 2010.
The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008. These instructions specify that only applicants who have an offer of Arranged Employment, applicants who are legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a Temporary Foreign Worker or an International Student, or applicants who have work experience in certain listed occupations are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

You have not indicated in your application that you have an Arranged Employment Offer or that you are legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a Temporary Foreign Worker or an International Student. Your application has therefore been assessed on the basis of whether you have work experience in the list of occupations eligible for processing. These occupations are identified by codes and described in the National Occupational Classification (NOC). You may access the list of eligible occupations at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list

You have indicated that you have work experience in an occupation with the following NOC code: 0213- Vice President. Although this NOC code corresponds to the occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008, the main duties that you have listed do not indicate that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties. As such, I am not satisfied that your experience corresponds to NOC 0213- Computer and Information Systems Managers.

As well you have indicated that you have work experience in an occupation with the following NOC codes: 2173- Sr. Developer. This occupation does not correspond to any of the occupations specified in the instructions.

For the reasons outlined above, your application does not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing.

The fees that you have paid are refundable. You will receive a cheque within eight to

twelve weeks at the address provided in your application. If you have changed your address please advise us immediately of the new address. Address changes should be faxed to (902) 270-3561.

Please note: The Fax number listed above is solely for the purpose of providing an updated address. Any communication/queries other than an updated address to this Fax number will not be actioned.

X The fees that you have paid are refundable. You will receive a credit on the credit card

provided within eight to twelve weeks.

There are many ways to immigrate to Canada. Although you have not satisfied the requirements to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Class, you may qualify under another category. To learn more about your options, visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

NOTE:

To assist in determining if you qualify to apply under the Federal Skilled Workers Class, you may wish to complete the self-evaluation tool at the following website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/tool/index.asp

For information on which skilled worker occupations are eligible for processing, kindly visit the website at:

Its okay ...Congrats to you for AOR .. I just find it ridiculous as they rejected because they didn't find Computer and Information Systems Managers in the duties I mentioned. I wrote "Working as Vice President with .....Bank Responsible for managing various IT systems for Credit Cards Business" common cant they use common sense in this?

Not sure I can apply under anyother category since 0213 is removed.

Hi Girish,

They can't really go by designation. Some companies like JP Morgan give the title of VP to their Principal Software engineers. In your case you must have had lot of management experience before this VP position so, all of that should have helped..

You might want to explore NOC1122 or AEO . For AEO option check for canadian companies doing business in your area(in your country).Your line of business may be a hot (infrastructure projects) and they may always be looking for skilled employees. At your level all you need is one good contact to find a job :-)

Don't give up hope. Goodluck!

Yes, sound rediculous, but for those who are just waiting to find a way to reject, they got their loop hole. Girish, may be it's worth giving another try but with different NOC as Srid has mentioned. all the best.

I don't want to be updated. All I want is to login. And 5 weeks distance from AOR... c'mon.. is frustrating.
