You should be able to get 21 point. Please refer to EG7000. I think you could find the clear answer in it.

Hi

Please pardon my ignorance, but where can I find EG7000? I really appreciate your help.

Hello friends,

I am new to this post.

My details are as follows
sent application to CIO: 11 may 2010
received by CIO: 31 may 2010
got first AOR: 30 sep 2010

I have gathered all the documents except my wife's transcripts. I hope I will receive it within 7 days.

I want to share my experience regarding PCC from India, specially from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This may help you a lot to get it easily (without rounding and rounding).

PVC => Police verification certificate
PCC => Police clearance certificate

For canada Immigrants, PVC is enough to send with full documentation. Ahmedabad Passport Office do not provide PCC for the canada immigrants.

So here are the steps to get the PVC.
PVC is required for all applicants and dependents who are 18 or over.
shahibag commissioner office' best timings => 11am to 12:30PM

1) go with all members at the shahibag commissioner office with
passports of all , marriage certificate, residence proof, printed AOR, ID proof, some photos. Copies of all documents are must. You can go on Sunday also.
Go to 2nd floor.
ask for PVC forms.
Fill and attach the documents he asks. (I mentioned documents earlier)
Give the filled forms back.

2) Go with all members to area(local) police station after 4-5 days along with all above mentioned documents (original + copies + 1 photo of each) + some money ;) (around 200)

3) Go with all members to shahibag commissioner office again after 3-4 days along with all above mentioned documents (original + copies + 3 photo of each). keep 1 gum stick if possible.
Here there is a trick to save money if he ask. Take out all money from the purse except 10 rupees. If he asks then show the purse.

Then cheers, you will have your PVC in your hand within 7 days.
Experienced people, Please correct this if any mistake found.

Regards,

Dhaval Patel

Hi all

I have question regardign PCC.
Website shows that PCC must have been issued no latter than 3 months before the application reached VO.

Old rule was six months (ie) before 26-June-2010.

I applied on 17-May-2010 and got the AOR on 29-OCT-2010

So my assumptions are

Since I belong to old rule, PCC validity can be six months.

3 months is only valid for the applicants submitted after 26-June-2010

Please advice me because I have pcc older than 3 months.

CIC rule states that YOU MUST INFORM THE EMBASSY OF ANY CHANGES IN YOUR STATUS
This include birth of a new child, new degree, marriage, etc
Submit your full docs now and follow the process I told you

Awoderu,
I am very happy for you Congrats on your AOR . At Last you can stop fighting CIO
I wish you quick recovery

Just wondering if anyone of Buffalo Visa Office got their 1st AOR?? Donno what's happening out there at CIC... :(

Hello Sameer

Where is this information available that you have to get a PCC separaetely fom each and every city and state within a country? Can we get some reference?

i think PCC are always COUNTRY specific not CITY specific....

So, I think from latest city/state in any one specfic country (and other countries if stayed there as well for longer than 06 months), it will be enough...seniors plz correct me if i am wrong.............

Dear NAVALI jee and others....

Please be noted that, every police certificate indicates ......

This is to certify that XXX person lived at XXXXX XXXX XXXX address (in which ur home number, area and city is mentioned )

according to the area SHO report there is to criminal record....

so does it make sense that its a country specific clearance.... dear its an area specific clearance...
look i am not arguing with any one but trying to help and prevent any inconvenience which could be facing, we r from the 3rd world countries, so there is not any centralized system for police record like NADRA (National I.D and Passport) in Pakistan.. i dont knw too much about India but hope not much difference then Pakistan.

I have obtained 2 certificates for my wife, 1 related to my area, and other related to her (MAIKA) area, where she lived b4 marriage after the age of 18. we are from the same city.

so dear friends its better to make ur application secure, they can ask u later for the clearance for evry state u lived, then you have to provide but the loss will be totaly urs. it consumes almost 2 months to fulfill such type of demand from VO.. consider mail delays.. as u knw that they communicate through regular mail for any inquiry, information and demanding of any support documents..

its totally upto you that how you secure & complete ur file...

I am really very sorry if some buddy think that I misguided som1....

The CIC website states clearly how and where you can apply for police clearance in your country.
Check it here: http :// www .cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

I'm not allowed to post links yet.. so just remove the spaces

Thanx for post but have a deep look at this..

How to obtain a police certificate
Pakistan
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes.

If you live in Pakistan

In larger cities
You should provide a Police Character Certificate or Police Clearance Certificate. Application forms are available at the “Town” or “City Police Officer” of your area.

The “Town” or “City Police Officer” will issue the required certificate directly to you. A fee may apply.

in here " your area " is clearly mentioned... so it mean its purely related to report of the SHOs of the areas u lived in after the age of 18y...

Hi Guys,

About PCC, it really depends from which country you are obtaining the PCC, if they have centralized system where they can give you a certificate for the country then you dont need a PCC for each city like Australia where Federal Police Issue the PCC and it cover your stay all over in Australia, but unlike other countries Pakistani, India etc where Police station can only do the checks for that city then you need to get PCC for every city where you lived.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Saki
