Good Day All

I recently got married back in June, my husband is a PR in Canada and he decided to sponsor myself and my daughter. we are now in the process of filling out the forms and he indicated that i should said no to the box that asked if i was in a previous common law relationship. The fact is that my daughter's father and i never lived together but a previous Temporary visa form i filled out in 2015, when my now husband sent an invitation ,I had indicated yes and put in the details of my previous relationship, because at the time i did not know that common law meant that we should live together.

with the current form i am a bit confused because i do not want the persons in charge of my application to do checks and think that i might be lying as that is not the case.

Any advice?

Hi

You do not list your ex because you were not common-law. You can include a letter of explanation explaining that you didn't understand what common-law was when you applied for the TRV in 2015.
