Masters in distance education while on Closed work permit

Hi Group members -I am on closed work permit-ICT, planning to pursue to online masters degree to enhance CRS scores. On work permit, condition is listed you can't study while being on work permit, but on contrary distance learning courses is allowed outside canada.

Since by definition distance learning does not require one to be in Canada, a study permit cannot be issued for this type of course. For example, if a foreign national authorized to work in Canada is prohibited from engaging in studies as per a condition of their work permit, they are allowed to engage in distance learning courses.

Wanted to check can i claim points for these distance studies and work experience later in express entry application?

What it will be counted as part time or full time MBA?

Any recommendation from US/UK universities where i can pursue degrees?

Hi, did you get any reply of your query. Have you started doing the course. I asked IRCC as per them
Generally, if you want to study in Canada, you need a study permit.

If you want to take a distance learning course (tele-learning, correspondence, or internet courses), you can study without a study permit.

Some distance learning programs include a part that requires you to be in Canada (e.g. final exams). If the overall course of study lasts longer than six months, you must have a study permit for the in-Canada part of the program, even if this part is for less than six months. The duration of the study permit should be for the duration of the in-Canada portion only.
So, according to this what i believe, we can do a Distance learning course and later after ECA we can update our profile and gain additional points.

If it's a completely distance learning with none of any in person part, you are okay.

Another issue it might not qualify in terms of evaluation.

If your education institute is a recognized institute/ University then WES will approve your evaluation.
