Hello guys. I'm a little bit lost and your guidance will help a lot. I got my bachelor degree in CS from Ghana with 3.4gpa/4. and my goal is to pursue a master in Canada for the fall 2023. However when I went to one immigration agency (Vision Canada) they said the will first get me admission in a professional school (DEP) and once I get into Canada I can start the master application. The reasons they give is that the master application is complicated , As for professional school it will be much easier to get in. The fact is that I'm not really satisfied with their sayings. I hope someone here could anlyse the situation and give some real Guidance. I will be really grateful. Thanks

If you meet admission requirements for a Masters then apply for a masters. it is not complicated. Select a public university and apply. A DEP is for vocations/trades in Quebec.

Note that the immigration agency might be receiving money for every student they sign to the program you mentioned. You should find on your own master programs and they requirements to see if you fulfill them. You can even apply on your own.

Change consultants or apply on your own. They have given you incorrect advice and as already pointed out likely because they would get a large commission from a vocational school not a professional school. If you applied to a reputable masters program at a public university they would likely not receive any commission or only a very small commission.
