Hi,

Below is my profile:

BTech: Electronics & Communication Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi (year 2001-2005)

BTech Percentage: 68%

Work Experience: 10 years of rich experience with Intel in VLSI/Electronics/Semiconductor field

IELTS Score: 7 overall (with 6.5+ in all sections)

I request you to please suggest about my chances of getting MaSc/MEng admit in Concordia, McMaster, Alberta, University of Toronto or some other good University in Canada and subsequently study VISA considering my 10 years of academic break

Thanks in advance

P.S. I have completed my B.Tech. in year 2005 in Electronics & Communications and since last 10 years I have been working with Intel (One of the best electronics/VLSI/Semiconductor MNC in world) in related areas of Microelectronics.

Hi Vinay,

I too have the same problem with almost 9 years of work experience and many are suggesting that it will be difficult to get admission and will be even tougher to get through the visa process.

Do let me know if you find any more information on this how heavily this big academic break will have an impact on study visa as well as admission procedures

Hi,
I tried to inquire a bit & was told that as I was working in the same field as was my education for last 10 years so that will not be considered as a break.
Although, I have yet not taken any professional advise. I request you too, to please update this thread once you get any information.
