Hello everyone!

I posted this question on another board but didn't receive an answer so I thought I'd try here. Sorry if it's not the right place for this question, but maybe someone can answer anyway.

What would be the issues/problems with my marrying a US citizen, but living in Canada while he still lived in the states? Is it even legal? Right now it would be impossible for me to move down there and he can't move here due to other reasons.

If I were to go down there and just marry out of the blue and then come back to Canada to live until a later date (a good few years because of my children) what problems would we face legally from the marriage? Would I still be able to enter the US (always by flight) to visit him after the marriage has been filed?

Thanks for anyone who can help answer. I know it's a bit odd :)

You marriage is legal as long as it was performed in accordance with the laws of the country where it took place. However, you ability to visit and be allowed entry into the US is a matter for US immigration.

Thanks for the reply.

Can you (or anyone else that reads this!) shed some light on what I would have to do and/or who to contact to find out info on the US Immigration. It would kind of suck to get married and then not be allowed to see him again lol.
