Married after application

Hey all,

Just a quick question.

I applied in June 2012 (Common law), and got married in August and as advised, i e-mail CIC with this information (Added a few pictures and such)
However, it takes a while before you receive the actual marriage certificate, do you think CIC expects me to send that as soon as i get it, and put aside my file until they receive it?

My application as common law had enough proof, but i'm wondering if they are waiting for the "proof" without notifying me.

Yes, it is possible that they are waiting. I have heard of people even telling them they are engaged to get marriage and then sometimes they wait for it to happen.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to send the marriage certificate before they ask.
It's only EXTRA proof, since we've been living together for over 2 years now, but i rather beat them to the punch.
