Hi there my fiance and I are going to get married in Las vegas soon and then move to Canada to start the inland spouse sponsorship. i am just wondering if CIC will check our social networj things such as facebook etc. The only reason is that we are telling a limited numbrr of our family amd friends aboit our marriagr as we do not wish to upset peiple an my fiancr is set on having a large ceremony a few years down the line to celebrate with everyone. I am just worried they wil say well your facebok status doesnt say married so NO, would they b that picky and not understanding. We have been in a solid relationship for 2 years and have alwas wanted to get married this way ?

They won't check your facebook. If you have proofs that you are married, living together and having a relationship before getting married, then it doesn't matter that you don't update facebook etc. - CIC won't care.

I did download and printed out our facebook chat conversations over a 5 - 6 month span, and submitted it, along with emails, photos and such to prove the relationship
