Marriage on visitor visa

Friends, If someone marries someone(who has canadian PR) in canada while having visitor visa! will he get the work permit there and then and can he also work in Canada? or he has to return to his parent country??

Marriage to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident gives you absolutely NO status in Canada. He has to comply with the conditions of his existing visa. It doesn't entitle him to a work permit or extend his existing visa.

The PR would need to sponsor the spouse. They could apply inland with an OWP; it take about 3-4 months for the OWP to be issued.
