Hey everyone,
I have a very strange question which I don't seem to be able to answer myself.
I am a domestic violence victim and fled to Canada on a student visa. I've completed my studies and have a job offer. I've decided to apply for PR.
The issue I have is, my divorce is yet in process and I am in Canada and My ex is in India. I have an affidavit that states my separation. I'll be going for the case maybe after a year or so based on the progress. I want to get my PR before that. What documents can I provide to prove my separation? What document can I obtain from Canada?
Suggestions and advice is welcome.

I would suggest for you to speak to a licensed lawyer to take his/her input on the matter.

The affidavit is one proof. If you have proof of abuse, that would also be something to show. Filing for divorce is the best proof.
