Please can someone advice on how I can present my case to immigration officer for canadian express entry

I had previously applied for US visa which wasn't granted, the problem now is I claimed married then because I wanted to travel with my boyfriend, although we weren't legally married

I'm applying for EE and I am outrightly claiming single, because I wasn't married. Now I'm worried that the VO might find out I had claimed married in another country, since US and Canada now share information.
Please how can I present my case and what can I do so I won't misrepresent myself.

I need advice

Yes, Canada and the US will share information. Since you've already misrepresented on a US application, you can generally assume that a discrepancy in marital history will be discovered.

Be upfront and in your application write a letter of explanation that explains why you misrepresented to the US. Hopefully being honest will help rather than harm.
