Looking to follow some people who are on the same boat. Please read my timeline below and suggest me if there is anything that I should be doing to make sure that the application gets processed quickly.


PR timeline for CEC outland from India with a 516 CRS score

ITA - January 7th, 2026

AOR - March 3rd, 2026

Biometrics Collection letter sent by IRCC - April 30th 2026

Medical passed - May 1st, 2026

Biometrics Completed - May 8th, 2026

Raised a web form on June 1st, 2026, to add my wife to the file

Confirmation of the webform submission - June 2nd, 2026

Raised a web form again on August 25th, 2026 - Received a response on August 29th, 2026 saying as below:

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that, following a previous enquiry, an agent took the appropriate actions to follow up on your request on June 9, 2026.

Rest assured that IRCC is making all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible, and that you will be contacted when a decision is made or if additional information is required.

Review of Eligibility - Not started

Review of additional documents - Not needed

Background check - We are processing your background check

Final decision - Your application is in process

There's absolutely nothing you can do to speed up a PR application under EE/PNP speed up unless it is past the unreasonable delayed time. Since you would be adding a spouse to your application, expect a bit more processing. It isn't all gloomy, BUT set your expectations right here. Mandamus isn't an option for you right now. MPs/Webforms won't even do a thing to move your application.

Just wait and watch. Make sure that your documents are good when you add your spouse/ADR comes - that's it! Best of luck!

PS: Also, there are spamming things like KAi method and other poorly correlated events - ignore them. They factually don't work.

Many are also getting their scores reassessed so this may also be leading to a delay. IRCC is finally cracking down on how people include spouses to maximize their points. There are more PFLs but it is unclear how strict IRCC is being at this point. At any point changing your application means that posted processing times are no longer applicable.

Would encourage anyone going forward to get PR and then get married if their points just meet the cut-off although the whole system is scheduled to change soon.
