I confirmed with an expert on this forum (many thanks to him), I DO need police certificate in my case. Agreed that the language on the official website is a bit confusing or could have been more clear. My next question is how to get police certificate from India while sitting in Canada? Has anyone here applied for and got one? If so, please share your experience. The official website does have a section on "how to obtain police certificate from India" but on clicking that link, it takes us to Indian passport website. I don't think that helps because Indian passport website details the process of getting police clearance for Indian passport, not Canadian citizenship.

Hello,

I applied for Citizenship application on 19 Jan 2026. Mistakenly i paid 630 cAD$ fees, which used to be previous fees, instead of 649.75 CAd $.
I got an email on 27 March about missing information, when i log in to my application it took me to fees page. I immediately paid the remaining amount of 19.75 and upload the receipt. after that i saved my applciation. Question is

1. I dont see any submit button, except that i can save it
2. how long usually CIC officer check again if the fees has been paid or not and to issue me AOR

Please help me with your feedback

It takes roughly 2.5 months for people to start getting AOR. We have a bit of a wait yet. Here is the link to the Excel document:

The previous application will not affect this one other than IRCC being able to review the previous application and reason for refusal. That will be the first thing they check. They will want to see that the residency reason no longer applies.
Thank you @BCTechy this excel is exactly what I am looking for. Before the AOR is like a week from receving application but I guess it's different now.

Question: if we submit it in paper will the AOR arrive faster or will it be just the same as online?
