its funny, that this is the status for all months from MAR 2025 AOR and before except for one month which is AOR Dec 2024, which still shows 1 Month remaining....

I didn’t notice that, but you’re right. It just shows how broken the system is! 328K applications pending—wow, that must be an all-time record.

To put things into perspective, Australia currently has around 56K outstanding applications, and they received 24K new applications in July alone. Although Australia officially quotes processing times of up to 13 months, their actual numbers and backlog look completely different from what we’re seeing here in Canada.

I’m not sure if anyone has been tracking the historical data, but it would be interesting to compare.

And finally they declared or rather now they started providing a justification as the delay is because of your application being complex. I just checked the processing time for fun and this is what they are quoting now:

Things doesn’t seems like getter better. Honestly doesn’t seem like any light at the other end, all dark. But be patient and hope for the best.

Hi everyone, I’m still waiting for my citizenship test invitation and wanted to check if anyone is in a similar situation.

My application was submitted in August 2025, AOR received in October 2025, and background verification was completed shortly after. However, I’m still waiting for the test invite.

Is anyone else from around the same timeline/batch still waiting for their test invitation? Would appreciate hearing your timelines.

My application is stuck in security clearance for almost 18 months now. I applied in Jan 2025 and as per GCMS notes the security clearance started in March 2025 and still waiting. Can someone please help with what are the options? I did contact my MP and they have a standard generic reply every month that its in process and seems useless. I seriously think that file is just stuck or fallen in crack with CSIS somewhere but dont know how to nudge it.

The average wait time for citizenship security screening is around 2.5 years.
If the application is not finalized by that time, the only option is mandamus. Nothing else really helps.

I am not sure if it’s a good news or just a confusion. Last GCMA was pulled on June 2026 and that time it was stuck with “awaiting family approval”.
Today when I checked the tracker, I saw everything except oath has now become In Progress
Language, Physical Presence, Prohibition- In Progress
Test and Background- Completed.

What I don’t remember if before June these were In Progress. If it a sign that my file has moved any inch?
