Security: [blank] likely means that has been redacted (whited out) by whoever provided this.

You may seen an activity / sub-activity with a large blank area (roughly half a page) - or more likley activity without a sub-activity - which seems to mean a whole block has been whited out as well.
That is correct, there is a half page blank area.

I can only interpolate from my own experience and especially comparing with CBSA notes (CBSA redacts a bit less) - but to sum up probably that missing half page has the basic info that the sub-activity consists of the IRCC office/officer requesting a CIT CSIS Screening (presumably meaning citizenship screening by CSIS) with possibly some dates and status, which overall effectively confirms it's been referred to CSIS and not yet complete. Could be waiting there for an officer to handle, waiting for info from others, who knows? - but not complete yet.

I know everyone is so spent but the ircc monthly stats are out now for June. 43.9 for now, reduction from 50.1k. processing time remains at 2months!

only 3K applications cleared prior to March 2025 applicants (down from 5K last month), and overall number of applications went up.

And there seems to be movement for Jan - March 2024 applicants who were stuck in background which sort of indicates (sadly) that we are still 12 months away from file completions.

So I reached out to IRCC a couple of weeks ago to split out my wife’s application from the mine and my sons-as mine was completed barring prohibitions (which I was told is just to hold off until my wife’s application is ready) and my wife’s application was pending security. You know, to expedite things for me and my son

Lo and behold I get an email on Friday asking for fingerprints, which I had given in May 2025. No big deal, they expire in one year and need them for prohibitions I assume. Tracker was down for me so couldn’t see anything on application, called IRCC to confirm that only prohibitions left which they did. Gave fingerprints the same day.

Today I login to the tracker and surprise surprise, background changed to in progress on June 10!! This is absurd I don’t know to laugh or cry… the original message of background completed in Jun 2025 is still there…

I would be curious to see if your request gets fulfilled. My request to separate was denied

Did they respond letting you know? I just received a notification that the request was forwarded to the responsible office.. I’m guessing the request for fingerprints and background moving back to in progress could be triggered by the separation, will call IRCC to check

I got the same response that my request was forwarded to the office (this was back in January). I ordered gcms in april and i could see in the notes that eventually my request was declined as my wife is pending prohibition and it cannot be separated anymore, despite the fact that i presented documents indicating urgency. However I didn’t receive any formal reply saying it was rejected, figured it from gcms itself.
