We had our ceremony today. Truly exciting moment!

We were not asked to confirm the form of the certificates, so we requested switching to e-certificates instead of paper ones in the email with the signed ceremony forms. As we originally requested paper certificates, we have not yet received the link and instructions on how to download the e-certificates.

LPP was completed on September 2nd and up until today nothing else regarding oath. Finally received my Citizenship certificate download email today, so I assume I will get my oath invite shortly too...? fingers crossed

Hi, could you please let me know how you mentioned it in that email? Did you use any specific wording or instructions? I need to do the same, since I accidentally chose the paper version in my citizenship application. Any help would be perfect!

I just saw someone post on a fb page that they got everything completed except background verification. How is it possible that prohibitions gets completed before the background- it does not make sense. Anyone has a valid explanation?

Not usual but I have seen this happening before. Most probably for that person only security out side of Canada is still under review.

Had my virutal ceremony today. Had 130 people. Seemed REALLY organized. They have their process down to an art. They now change your name for you. Instructions are really clear. The registration part took about 30 mins (We started at 830a). The official ceremony started right at 900a and lasted 30 mins. Then final instructions and pictures with Judge were about 10 mins more. Signed off at 936am.

How long did it take for you to get the e-certificate?

Anyone attended online oath ceremony with toddler.me and my wife will have ceremony on same day and we have no friend or family here where we can leave our 1 yr old son.
I am afraid my son might not able to sit us quite in front of computer throughout.
Normally my child would not sit on one place for more that one minute. He crawls a lot, you just can’t stop otherwise he become upset and start crying.

Please only comment if you or your friends/family have same experience.

Finally some traction, today I received the update on tracker LPP & Php, completed, Background and prohibitions still in progress.

In the same boat, I thought they had forgotten about me. Background n prohibitions in progress. Got update on 9th October

This is just my speculation based on FB but I think they try to review your background and etc in your home country. Again this is just my thoughts. Could be totally mistaken and our files are just collecting dust somewhere at third party system!
