found this information which makes really sense for diff between background check and prohibition :

background check ircc just gather data about applicant : criminality , security and immigration history ( seems that in this step many 3rd party agencies involved) - here they will just gather data

prohibition step ircc wont gather that data again , they will use the already gathered data in bg check , presence and other steps , analyze and apply all of the prohibition rules to make a final decision ( the same rules we had to check when applying answering yes/no)

this explains in almost all cases if one step is in progress , prohibition will also be in progress ( because they need the data resulted of that other step to finish prohibition)

This makes a lot of sense now. Thank you!

I would like to know if there is anyone still expecting a test invitation for AOR - April 7, although my background check was completed on May 31, and I have not received a test invitation.

Me April 4th AOR with BG check done and no test invite yet. LPP in progress.

You mean you checked earlier today and it wasn’t updated already? Does IRCC work on Saturday?

Anyone from Primary office Vancouver, and secondary office Mississauga, waiting for LPP to be completed. I got my test and BG completed and updated on tracker since May 31st.

bg is only part of whats needed for prohibition to be completed , others steps results like presence are also needed , thats why we see some cases where language is finished and also bg check , but prohibition stays in progress because presence has smth not resolved yet.

I believe every update shows up on the tracker 2 days later. You might get an update tomorrow (Sunday) from an update made on Friday

I think they do work on Saturdays as that's the second time my AST was updated on a Saturday. That, or there's a lag from updating it on IRCC end to when the update gets pushed to the AST (probably more likely).

That's precisely what happened to me - I accidentally omitted a trip back home (Australia) in my PP calc - Language got changed to 'Complete' but both PP remained 'In Progress'. I thought that was odd as LPP is almost always completed together and then got an email from IRCC requesting me to do another PP calc + submission of documents.

I Haven't seen anything for my BG or LPP, no update other than the test on June 2. Did my fingerprints May 2nd

Check with RCMP on when did they send out the results to IRCC and send the receipt you got when you did the fp to IRCC
