I called IRCC and they said my criminality is complete but security check not yet, does that mean that I will definitely not be getting fp request?

its most likely that you wont get fp yes , now its security step , i guess all of us march applicants who didnt get fp , are having criminality completed and security in progress
and those who got it should have both in progress currently

Question about fingerprints and background check. Every few years, I have to do an RCMP vunerable sector check to volunteer at my kids school. My name is close enough to someone with a warrant that I have to get fingerprinted everytime. Our birthdays don't match its just first and last name match. Our local police office says this actually happens a lot on VS checks.

I'm just curious, does anyone have any data points or similar experiences where this issue also likely triggers a FP check with IRCC?

from what i saw on a document shared on this forum , finger prints are most likely sent if one or more info return a hit from rcmp , like first name / last name , so even if dob is different they may still need to verify

Background checks - stuck for late Feb applicants and beyond.
Test Completion(official) - stuck for late Fab applicants and beyond.


Citizenship processing time - up by 2 months - to 10 months
