What do you mean in progress as of May 29 for the BG check? What was it showing before?

It was in progress before. The latest update was on May 29.

1. I just gave the test today, how much time does it take for it to get updated to completed?

2. I was asked fingerprints and submitted them on April 10. My AOR is March 25. Haven’t heard anything on background check. Anyone who got their Bg complete after fingerprinting request in the same time frame?

1. I wrote a test on May 26 and marked it as completed on May 27 (the Portal was updated on May 29, 2025).

2. No fingerprints for me, but BG is still in progress. My AOR was also March 25.

you are very lucky, I waited more than 1 month for my test to mark completed. my AOR was in mid March, everything is still in progress (single applicant)

Same for me and im also montreal, i dont know why this is the trend right now.

I read some where in this forum that most people had BG passed before test invite. Is that true for most of us with April AORs? In my case ,tracker says BG is still in progress.

The majority lf march aors and april aors didnt get that done yet

same here , the ircc agent told me that the bg check is always done by vancouver office, so when people says my application got transfered to vancouver its true but not only you everyone goes their for bg check from what i understood

Thank you VERY much for this info. I've been saying for a while here that it seems to me everyone having 'problems' with only the vancouver office suggests it's a functional matter like this, i.e. they'd centralized something in Vancouver.

And it makes sense it's background check + security/prohibitions those are both centralized/centralizable functions and the ones that cause delays.

Should I give a call to IRCC as well, seems like everyone here received their test invite but my application has had no update since AOR from April 25. Not sure why the delay

I received the email for an invitation to test on May 21, 2025, to appear for the Citizenship test between May 23, 2025 and June 21, 2025. I wrote the test on May 26, 2025 (passed with 19/20). Test marked completed on May 27, 2025 (portal updated on May 29, 2025).
