January 14, 2017. Praise God!
You can see it in the tracker not ecas. When Oath changes to IP, it will show the date there. This will generally be after DM, that is, all other stays changed to Complete other than Oath.
Oh, no wonder I can't see it. Sadly, my oath is in Not Started status, so I guess they don't have a date for me yet. Hopefully it's this year!

I do hope so, I am planning to call the contact centre to learn the decision and confirm the next steps. I think Halifax wouldn`t have too many applications so I am hoping they can schedule us to September? Maybe I am too naive and it will be 4 months again till the next update :D

I will update here if Citizenship Ceremony changes to In Progress, it is Not Started right now.
I hope so too. Mine is showing not started. I am hoping to get an email soon from them. I will keep them posted here.

All the best for all the NS peeps here.

mid December is conservative. 2 weeks or so to get your citizenship card. Once you get your citizenship card, it can take 1 business day to 21 business days to get your passport (depending on urgency and payment). Average is 2 weeks for normal processing. This is based on Toronto timelines.

It depends on how soon the certificate arrives. Earlier it used to take more time but seems its coming quickly within 1-2 weeks nowadays. So seems doable.

I assume you are talking about citizenship certificate as they dont issue citizenship card anymore.

It seems there haven't been any Montreal Oath Ceremonies for the past few months...

The website says:

Wait for us to invite you.

Contact us through the Web form if you

  • had a ceremony scheduled on or before March 15, 2020, and
  • haven’t received an invitation for a video oath ceremony.
Should I send an inquiry though their webform or should I just patiently wait...I don't wait to annoy the agent replying to the requests and then put me at the back of the queue...

Thanks,
Frozenrabbit
From Montreal as well….I haven’t tried contacting them in a while but back when I did it got me nowhere. Do the web forms get to the local office or the central one? I wonder if maybe several of us fro. Montreal write… would they take notice…?

Somebody had posted here about the due date thing in the GCMS, and if I’m not mistaken he/she said the due date for them is August 14, so if that individual is still active in the group ; could he/she share if anything changed with the due date?

Hi All,

Is there a way to request for an urgent Citizenship Certificate? As I need to apply for passport soon.
Thanks.
I am in the same situation, my current passport expired on August 14th. Do we need the passport during the oath ceremony, why would it be a valid reason for urgent processing? Asking these to understand the case and to request urgent processing for myself too :) tia
