March 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hello Everyone,

Really messed up now. For the 5year period I had 3 passports in total but 2 got missing(passport A and passport B got missing but I have passport C). So in my original citizenship application, i was certain in my head it was just 2 and didnt even realize it was 3. So in my original application I put passport B and C.
Fast forward to last week Edmonton office requested my passports for the five year eligibility period. As such, I scanned all pages for passport C since I have it and wrote a letter of explanation stating passport A is missing but i had the front page only which I attached and sent via email today.
Now this is where I messed up citizenship application states passport number B and C but what I have provided now to Edmonton office is A and C. A totally honest mistake as I never even realized I had three for the period. Felt they were two and that's it. Is there anything I can do to this situation as I sent the scanned passports to Edmonton cic this afternoon already?

Hi. I am a March 2020 applicant and received my AOR in August of 2020 and nothing since then. I got my GCMS notes, and it said the due date for the eligibility criteria are due on August 14th 2021. Does this mean that they would be sending an invitation on that date? In general what does the "due date" insinuate in the GCMS notes?

Due date are mostly internal to review that section again to check if it needs to be rechecked/reverified/renewed.

Hi Everyone,

As I checked the citizenship tracker today, I've received a message that I've been scheduled to take the citizenship test between August 5 and 26, 2021. Although, no email yet. If I decided to take my test tomorrow, would there be a problem?

You can only take the test within that date range. Or else all of us would have finished the test long ago. We wouldnt be waiting for them to activate the test window for our application id for this long.
If you have already finished reading then take some online tests and prepare more and give it on 5th.

You can try to submit a webform with an explanation letter and all the available pages from the 3 passports. This is a very unique case so it is tough to find reference.

Question: My wife had to renew her current passport. Do we have to submit the new passport as well?

Anyone has an idea about this scenario??

if you renewed it after submitting your citizenship application, no need. They will ask you if required. If you are submitting your citizenship application, include it plus the passport you entered/landed Canada in. My application was returned 6 months later because I did not provide my previous passport copy (the one I entered Canada with PR)

I have resent an updated LOE and passports to CIC Edmonton. Should I also send a web form for this to federal cic? I will call federal cic on Tuesday morning since Monday is a holiday. Feel so bad because i'm a detailed oriented person and don't know how I missed the 3rd one. Maybe because it got lost 2months after having it. Thanks and I will keep you all posted.

@kalkhal ,Do you have access to your online tracker? What do you see there for your Background checks? When it was marked completed?

Tbh Gcms doesn’t really tell you anything other than what happened at what date, and officer initials and where your file is being processed, none of that is useful information regarding application if you just compare all the updates to new status tracker

Correct, it wont be useful for most but not for all. For some it shows whats pending such as finger printing / clearance or any other things such as pending review etc.
Well, we cant do anything more than tracing/knowing gcms other than online tracker.

Thanks, background and test are completed, waiting for language, physical presence and prohibation.

Thanks for the suggestion, I can get the GCMS notes. Last time I called CIC, they said that my file is not entirely processing at the local office, they split the work between the local office and the central office. Im wondering if that is causing the delay (aka, maybe they didnt sync with each other and just forgot about my case...)
