How do you know they checked your profile?

There is a heading called Search Appearances on every LinkedIn profile and IRCC came up as one of the organization that searched for me

Did you reference your profile in the app? It does not make sense that they randomly check only your profile. Maybe you added their page as your liked/favorite items?

They do check your social media presence so it's not surprising at all. And what do you mean my profile only? They can check people's Facebook or Twitter and you wouldn't even know. And no, I don't have them as my liked/favorite items.

Because that is the first time I am hearing it. Social media presence is irrelevant if they are doing background checks.

I don’t believe that either bc not everybody has the Linkedin profile and moreover not everyone lists all of their jobs in Linkedin.

Hi all,
Does anyone know if taking the citizenship test online is an option for Montreal applicants??
Most of who took the exam were from Ontario?

In 2019 the average time between IP to Test Invite (from May to November) was around 70 days (based on the spreadsheet). 2020 applicants (Jan - March) have been receiving their AOR and IP notifications. As far as I can tell no January to March applicants have received a Test Invite. January 2020 applicants who went IP in September 2020 are now in excess of 100 days waiting for the test invite. It will be interesting to see if the online pilot test becomes a more permanent series of events and if we can catch up in terms of numbers soon.

I just randomly checked my ECAS today, my application has been in progress since November 18 and I didn't get any email about it.
