does anyone know what's the process after AOR?

I want to leave Canada and visit my home country, is there any point in staying in Canada? for the test or ceremony?

I am on the same boat, I decided to leave and come back on March next year, I doubt that there will be interviews/tests before February next year.

You can leave Canada but not for more than two weeks. If you plan to stay longer, you should let them know by web form. See below:

You can leave Canada after we receive your application as long as you:

• keep your permanent resident (PR) status
• can receive any letter mail, parcels and emails we send you after you submit your application
• can reply to our letters and emails within the specified time, usually within 30 days
• are available in person in Canada to attend your citizenship test (if you’re between 18 and 54 years of age), interview, and ceremony

Let us know if you plan to leave Canada for more than two weeks in a row.

people have more than 6 months waiting for just the AOR by e-mail

Looks like they are slowly beginning to start March IP. Jan and Feb are going on full speed! This is very good for the later months. Maybe in a week or two, we will start our IP as well.

Yes many of us did online. It takes just 2-3 days to get reflected.

It's weird because I still can't find my app through ECAS; it's been more than a week since I got my AOR. I think I'll write to CIC via webform to know what's happening. I've used both UCI and Application No to locate my file, but it doesn't work.

Call them to update the address and dont wait for ecas access so that all data will be correct before they start processing your file in 2 months.
I doubt that they can help for ecas access but you can try.
