March 2020 CEC - still waiting

Hi guys,

I applied for Express entry via CEC on March 2020.
Submitted online form on 5th, got the AoR on the same day. I have over 500 points. Got my medical complete in March 17th, however had to wait for biometrics office to open until October (completion Oct 2). There is still no response, and every time I've contacted them, they've said don't worry, we'll process it in the due time.


Is this normal? Is there anything I can do?

Covid time, nothing is normal about the current time we are in. Have you ordered GCMS notes yet? I would say go ahead and order to get a clear picture of what's happening with your application. All the best and hope your wait will be over soon!

Thank you for the good wishes! I've just ordered GCMS notes. I've submitted my pr application myself, without the help of an immigration consultant, so I've been very worried if I didn't make the right call, and whether that could've sped up the process in any way

I don't think an immigration consultant can do anything to speed up one's application but I definitely get the worry that comes with not having someone else to review your application before submitting to ensure you haven't missed anything. Nonetheless, I'd say patience is the name of the game in these times. At least now you've ordered your GCMS notes and will be able to find out if there is anything to worry about.

Update folks: got it confirmed in the portal, (even though no email received).
As far as I understand, I now have to wait for COPR to be mailed to me first?
And once I receive COPR, they'll give me instructions to schedule an interview? (I'm already in Canada)
