DId anyone have their ECAS status updated recently.

I think not many. My husband (the sponsor) recieved SA via email this Monday, 16 May but ECAS still shows In process until now.

We received SA on the 16th and I got a doc request from Ottawa on the 17th but nothing updated on ecas until this morning. Both sides just say in process now.

Logged on today to see decision made. Applied on March 9 and it was sent to ottawa. My partner received an email asking to verify our address. I'm guessing this means his COPR should arrive within the next few weeks. I'm due within this week so I just have to call and update them then. I know it's hard but your time will come. still no SA for me.. I mail an invitation letter from my parents and I.. we are all living in Canada. I gonna try a luck for TRV. We invited my wife for our wedding here in Canada .Since my parents have never met my wife before. hopefully i have some luck here.
i heard the chance of approval of TRV was low, after you submitted the PR application.

Remember me Sirenae? we have the exact same timeline. I am sponsoring my wife. I wasn't sure if I should fill this form and I filled it anyway. since I am her husband. I am a Canadian lives at the border town. so i have been to the US for at least 100 times or not less. from using USPS to return library books to filling up my gas tank. sometimes, it's just a 20 mins trip. i just wrote, Bellingham, Washington, weekly trip.

I wrote the final destination anyway. for example, every year I go to Tijuana, Mexico for dental tourism/check up. lol. cuz my plan wasn't good.. but usually flying from Bellingham, WA to San Diego, CA. therefore I just wrote the destination Tijuana, purpose?
Dental tourism. same as when i visit the Bahamas, despite I stopped over at Miami and Fort Lauderdale; i just wrote visit/tourism the Bahamas.


good for you.. my PR side still said "received the application". so for sure you have reached SA.

So I have a question for all you Paris VO applicants that have gone through this already or anyone that has any suggestions.
We just got an email stating to fill out this form and send back. Supplementary Information: Your Travels Form IMM 5562
It's my understanding that this form is only required by the Paris VO :
My husband is the Principal Applicant and I am the Sponsor...
On the section of Spouses travel for the past 10 years I'm not sure how to fill this out...
On a couple of my trips to Canada I stopped off in other places in the USA to visit family while enroute to or from visiting my immediate family in Canada.
New York for a week to visit a cousin on my way back home to Spain. Another trip I went to Denver 1st for a week visiting family then on to Canada for a month....
My question is, do I need to detail separately these visits enroute or just put destination Calgary, Canada and leave out the detailed enroute visits??
Any suggestions for me??

BTW: We haven't received SA yet on Sponsor but I guess Paris VO asking for this additional form means that we got it??... They started working on our application April 19, 2016 and both sides still say "In Process"

I saw many of Jan and feb applicant got their dm and ppr is it true that they fast their process?

hi i did apply Oct 2015,my husband was approved on January 2016, but still no changes.
Maybe because all my documents are in Sao Paulo , Brazil.
I hope to receive something soon.

Hello Everyone!

I came across this forum looking for answers and I'm hoping someone can help!

I am a US citizen and my husband is a Canadian citizen. We legally got married a month ago and are about to begin the sponsorship application. Would anyone think it's necessary to apply for the sponsorship through a lawyer or did everyone submit the paperwork and applications on their own?? I began all the paperwork like copies of phone calls, texts, messages, pictures, medical and background check but would it be necessary to spend all the money to get a lawyer? Would it make a difference at all? Also, did anyone receive any replies about their application? What is the average wait time???

I am very anxious about this whole process because we thought it was a simple move. We were not expecting to wait to complete forms and such

I would apply for the FBI criminal record check asap. I don't know about anyone else but they took 5 months to get back to my Husband and he had only lived in a handful of places and had no criminal record.
