I'm really hoping IP still means what it used to. Coming up on one month since IP, trying to keep track on who else has gotten DM recently from Ottawa.

Having the exact same feeling here gooh.. Our time has to come, hopefully sooner than expected..
Xmas is around the corner, and I just pray to God to make it happen before the year ends.
Count on my prayers, we are in the same boat.

I don't know when it was updated though (and I don't really care). I just went on ECAS today after like 3 months? Dunno....

Status: IN PROCESS

We started processing <name> application on August 20, 2015

No AOR2... and I was not expecting it neither.

Not a lot of action this Tuesday it looks like..

My husband's file has said the same thing since April 7
Application Received

so frustrating...

I got SA June 1, 2015

we are just sitting waiting - no contact from the VO at all
does it really take 3 1/2 months and counting to look at documentation???? Even if there is something missing or incomplete does it take this long?
I see there were people processed after me by the same VO and their spouse has already landed in Canada!

Born in Canada and having worked for over 25 years and been paying taxes, never in trouble with the law - what is the hold up???
My husband and I are in our 40s we are not young people who have years to sit and wait.

Sorry guys just a little frustrated with the lack of action on my file! :( :( :(

I don't know why it take so long, but unfortunatelly, PoS is one of the slowest VO in the world.
It's really frustrating but will worth at the end.
Just hang in there a bit more.

Are you talking about me? Almost identical case except for being born in Canada and the 25 years of work experience in Canada.

Paris VO is supposed to be one of the fastest VOs, but no news since Jun 18th.
My wife's status has changed to IP in Aug 6th. But no communications so far!!!!

I already planned for our religious marriage and our honeymoon to be in Dec. My family will fly to her place. I can't purchase the honeymoon tickets because I don't know if she is coming back to Canada with me or no!!!!

I thought that everything will move quickly after the status change. But, nothing is happening !!!!!!

I don't understand why it takes them that much time holding the passport. My understand that in Algeria, it takes them 5 working days if you submit the passport by hand and 10 working days if you mail it to them.

I hope that this timeline is still valid for Algeria and nothing is changed!

hahahaha

I have two options:
1- Purchase the tickets by this Friday even if nothing is heard from my VO. Send them to them showing them that we are very serious about this and hope that they give her the visa before Dec.
2- Wait until I receive my notes "which I ordered in Sep 8th" and then decide on next steps!

Which option should I go for?

If they have the passport that is usually a really good sign - Personally, I would buy the ticket - my hubby says I am too optimistic! lol

ok this is really funny because - I also ordered my notes! :o

I wish that the passport was with them. Unfortunately, it is not. I am still waiting for the PPR.

I will go ahead and buy the tickets. Hoping that this will expedite the process with my VO. and also to avoid any increase in the tickets price as expected as we approach the date.

Oh my bad! :(

I am waiting for anything at this point
