I did my landing last week at Pearson Airport, Terminal 3. (I booked a direct trip to Dominican Republic for a vacation when I saw that CPP Ottawa sent back my passport)

I went to the customs officer (the first officers you meet) and asked him that I was doing my landing for permanent resident and would like to meet an immigration officer (the immigration office is right behind the customs desks). The customs officer still asked me standard questions and stamped my customs form. Then I went in, met with an immigration officer. He didn't ask for any residence proof and just asked some questions like "where are you landing from, is this still your current address, how long have you been in Canada". I also got my new SIN right there as they also had Service Canada inside the immigration office (so it's best to bring your old SIN card with you, and your latest tax return).

The next day, as I already have OHIP coverage under my work permit, I went to Service Ontario to change my immigration status with OHIP - very easy breezy. They are sending me a new card, but my current card is still valid until then.

I also updated my SIN with my bank. No need to update with the CRA.

Here's my final timeline:


ECAS showed We received your application for permanent residence on March 4, 2013

ECAS showed We started processing your application on January 14, 2014

Medical requested email received on January 15, 2014

Medical done on January 22, 2014

ECAS showed medical received on February 7, 2014

"Ready for Visa" email received on February 10, 2014

Passport sent on February 11, 2014

Xpressport return envelope tracking code activated on February 14, 2014.

Passport was in my hands on February 18, 2014.

Landed and became a permanent resident on February 26, 2014.

Hi,

I 'm a March applicant (Application received: March 4th, AOR: April 15th), i just got my GCMS notes today and it's still showing "Criminality: In Progress" and all the rest "Not Started"

Is this normal? should i be worried?
