I have applied in March 2013 through an agent and my application is being processed from New Dehli, I have checked the website and it says "In Process".

My agent has said it will take min from 6-10 months before i recieve any notification.

I want to know how many of us are in the same boat.

Hi All,

I have two problems now --

1. I just got married on 4th Dec and sent an email to CIC. Got instructions to add spouse. Loads of forms, payment, photo and PCC to be taken care-off.

2. I submitted my PCC on 13th Sept 2013 and just got an email with a 60 day deadline to submit it. Had ordered GCMS notes luckily and sent it as attachment with notes that they have received my PCC.

Any suggestions ? My application is all messed up. I will order GCMS again after submitting documents for spouse.

Looks like you've already listed the solution to your issues.

Reg adding spouse: there are hardly 4 /5 forms. Just fill them up, scan and email them. Should not take more than 1 day.

Yes the email with spouse documents was sent out yesterday. Today I am sending the draft with fee payment and photographs by Canada Post.
What address should I send these to ?

Would GCMS notes suffice to prove that I have submitted my PCC and they have a note in it of having received it ? Should I apply for PCC again as a backup ?

Police certificate: when was it issued and when did you submit ? It should not be issued more than 3 months before submission.

Just because others with the same noc are moving forward doesn't mean you should. Your application will be dealt with in due course. Cic isn't messing with your head - you are letting the process get to you and honestly there is no point in doing anything other than ordering some gcms notes and getting on with your life

PCC was issued in July and I submitted in September. So that should not be a problem I hope. I have replied to their email giving me time until 14th Feb 2014 only with the GCMS notes mentioning the page 14 which shows the status that they received it. Do you recommend a backup PCC again ?

I just sent the payment and photographs to the address you mentioned today with a covering letter and a print out of their email.

I received my PCC sometime in Nov 2012. However, I was shocked to see the issue date as October 15th.. I submitted my application early Jan along with PCC. Had it reached after 15th Jan, CIC would have asked for a new police certificate.

So, make sure that the gap between Issue date (printed on PCC) and date CIC received it is not more than 3 months. However, if you feel like keeping a backup - do so ASAP and send it as soon as you get it.
